The photos on this site show some of the magical aspects of details found within the Cornish landscape.

Perhaps light falls on rocks, producing magnificent colours and illusions; the ever-present sea presents constantly changing curves and sparkling surfaces; the ancient landscape still radiates murmurings from long ago.

The quality of the light can be extraordinary. It often provides a combination of high contrast, saturated colours and vivid clarity. This is thought to arise because Cornwall is a narrow strip of land, surrounded on three sides by the sea.

I hope that these few photographs convey something of these qualities.
