Rock form, Treyarnon Bay The photos on this site show some of the magical aspects of details found within the Cornish landscape. Perhaps light falls on rocks, producing magnificent colours and illusions; the ever-present sea presents constantly changing curves and sparkling surfaces; the ancient landscape still radiates murmurings from long ago. The quality of the light can be extraordinary. It often provides a combination of high contrast, saturated colours and vivid clarity. This is thought to arise because Cornwall is a narrow strip of land, surrounded on three sides by the sea. I hope that these few photographs convey something of these qualities. |
